Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:
Dave Kallmann, from the Milwaukee
Journal, summed our race day, "John Heydenreich drove from 24th
to second and stalked Drake for a time but dropped out 19 laps short of the
finish with a brake rotor problem." Read the article on the
Milwaukee Journal Online,

USACLive News from the Milwaukee Mile:
"The real excitement in the race came from two drivers who
started deep in the back. John Heydenreich, driving the Racewell.com Beast was
the fastest car on the track for much of the race. He found a high line through
the turns early in the race and picked off car after car from his 24th starting
position. By lap twenty-two he had picked up ten positions. By the time Dane
Carter spun a second time on lap 52; Heydenreich was in seventh and had run down
the lead pack. From that point he picked off a car every other lap or so and
found himself in second and closing on Drake. His fantastic run came to a halt
though on lap 81 with a broken right front brake unit."
Johnny wins with ARDC after a 9-year absence!

featured on Racin' with D.O. radio show, and Kevin Oldham's Indiana Bullring
Scene.
Kevin Oldham states in his weekly
article, "Absolutely one of the best interviews on our Racin’ With D.O. Monday
night radio shows; if you give Johnny “Hot Rod” Heydenreich a microphone, look
out. An employee of East Enterprises since the late ‘90s, Hot Rod’s ears are
often subject to many juicy rumors as he crafts bodywork for the latest
additions to the Beastie Boys fold. Not able to divulge such top-secret rumors,
Heydenreich did say that because of his late season drives in Tom Burkey’s
Avenger sprint car; his interest in racing is revived after five years of
focusing on the Silver Crown series. Searching for someone to partner up with
his Pittsburgh, PA based Sharon Duda team; Johnny said that he wants a winged
sprint car ride for Florida in addition to seeking out a horse for weekly
wingless wars next summer, possibly reassembling one of his older dirt midget
rides as well." Kevin's articles can be found at
