Sharon got her interest in racing from her family, including her father, mother and brothers. In 2001, Sharon purchased two cars for the 2001 season and ran a limited schedule. We built upon that initial program, and our hard work has paid off with two top 5 finishes in three years of racing in the extremely competitive USAC Silver Crown series. Sharon likes to reference the poster given to her by Jimmy Sills, which still hangs on her office wall, "Always push the limits. Because if you never fail, you will never succeed." In 2002, Sharon hooked up with Johnny Heydenreich who brought much needed experience and talent into the team. Teaming up with Johnny for the first time, the team notched an outstanding 5th place in the extremely competitive USAC Silver Crown points championship in their first year of racing together. We continued our hard work, and finished 4th in USAC Silver Crown points in a subsequent year. The race shop remains in Indianapolis, where in addition to his driving duties, Johnny handles the day-to-day operational management of the team, cars and personnel. Sharon thanks all of the crew and participants who helped make this happen: Johnny, Tom Burkey, Joe Dietsch, Sue Miller, Greg Staab, Denny Lott, John Lawson, Linda Mansfield, Dave Reininger, Gerri Lott, Ken Warren, and Shirley Warren. Your support and encouragement won't be forgotten. As we continue to the 2008 season, Sharon remembers the phrase: "Quitters never win, and winners never quit." The best is yet to come!
